So this drum lesson about para-paradiddle groove is a groove that is really fun to play and it really flows. It is built from the familiar Rudiment: ParaParaDiddle whose sticking is: RLRLRR-LRLRLL.
This groove is built on sextulas. So that once the paradidal starts on the right it is one quarter and it starts on the left it is a second quarter and so on... (watch the video and the attached Sheets)
I recommend starting this groove at the slow tempo, of course later when you feel in control of the groove then combine it while playing your familiar and favorite groove that is built on eighths or sixteenths and then play a few bars of the new groove. (I recommend 4 bars of the normal groove and 4 bars of the new groove). (metronome!!)
